NICKELODEON LATINX YOUTH OPEN CASTING CALL
SYNOPSIS:
ABOUT THIS SEARCH: Performers will all tape auditions and callbacks from the safety of their own homes. There will be no in-person auditions. Casting Directors: Alan Luna and Michelle Adams.
Can play 11-16 yrs old, all genders. Can authentically portray Latinx. We are looking for strong COMEDIC LEADING PERFORMERS who possess that “it” factor. Must have great comedic timing, presence, physicality, energy, and confidence. Singing and other special talents or skills a plus (dancing, rapping, etc)!

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. HOW TO SEND US YOUR AUDITION
– Please upload audition clips to ECO-CAST. Instructional Media below has a step by step process on how to Submit to an Eco Cast Open Call.
2. HOW TO TAPE AUDITION
– Please choose 1 scene to tape, CHRIS or DESI. The choice is yours! Please feel free to send 2 different takes of your scene. However, if you do that there must be some contrast and range difference in those scenes.
– A SLATE IS MANDATORY
Your SLATE is your introduction. It should be a separate clip where you tell us your full name, age, and date of birth (if over 18 just say “over 18”), height, the city you live in, and let us know if you speak Spanish or not. Please make this a FULL BODY SHOT (not a pan from head to toe).
– Only slate ONE TIME (you do not need to slate before each scene/clip)
– Please post the scenes as individual clips
3. TIPS
The actor should be well lit, indoors, and in front of a solid background.
Keep this shot wide, NO NEED FOR PROFILES.
The scene(s) should be a separate clip/take from the slate.
The camera should be eye level.
– FRAME: Please make sure that when taping the actual audition scenes, you are framed tight – just above the top of the head to the mid chest
No profiles, please have the actor as open to the lens as possible, looking slightly off-camera.
Make sure we can hear and see the actor well.
Please feel free to send 2 different takes of your scenes. However, there must be some contrast and range difference in those scenes.
-READER: Please have the person reading the other lines in the scene with you stand right next to the camera and out of the shot.
DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE CAMERA.
Please tape the audition in the following order and make each part a separate video clip:
A. SLATE
B. SCENE (please choose ONE of the 2 available scenes attached)
C. SPECIAL TALENTS – If the performer has any funny characters, impressions, or special talents, we would like to see them. If the performer is a singer and/or plays an instrument, they are welcome to self-tape a chorus and a verse of an upbeat, popular Top 40-style song – no show tunes or Broadway, please. Please sing it acapella, meaning no musical track in the background. Footage of each talent should be no more than 30 seconds, max.
PLEASE WATCH YOUR VIDEO BEFORE UPLOADING. IF YOU CANNOT SEE OR HEAR YOURSELF VERY WELL, WE WON’T BE ABLE TO EITHER.
