If you’ve got talent and you’re aged 8 to 17, then come wow the judges in the San Diego’s Got Talent contest and you could take home the $1,000 first prize! This is a new contest for 2019 and is for all kinds of performing talent!

Entry deadline: Friday, April 19, 2019
Final round performances at the Fair: Saturday, June 29, 2019 on the San Diego Showcase Stage. The youth division will start at 2:00PM, followed by the teen division at 3:30PM.

The San Diego County Fair is looking for performers to compete in a variety of contests, including its new San Diego’s Got Talent contest.
Here are of some of the contests.
San Diego’s Got Talent contest
The contest is open to youths ages 8 to 17 and is set up like the national TV show. The competition includes two divisions, one for ages 8 to 12 and the other for teens ages 13 to 17. The first place prize is $1,000. This new competition showcases all kinds of performing talent.
24-Hr Film Festival contest
The competition challenges a group of filmmakers to create a fabulous film in 24 hours. The fair is looking for groups of three to 10 people. Each group will film at the fairgrounds, then edit and produce a short film in a 24-hour period.
Battle of the Bands contest
The contest is open to bands of three or more musicians. The band that can convince the judges they’re the best in Southern California, wins the $5,000 first-place prize.
Singer/songwriter contest
Singers can enter and perform an original song. The first-place winner gets a $3,000 prize.
