SYNOPSIS:
When an opportunity to go on a blind date with a family friend presents itself, Reesie reluctantly agrees but soon discovers that he could have a future with her. As his newfound love interest blossoms, his relationship with Kenny and Kelsey suffers and now Reesie finds himself torn between them. Life changing events occur and Reesie is faced with the possibility of never seeing the children ever again.

Key roles will be paid at $100 per day depending on the success of the Kickstarter Campaign. Everyone else will be rewarded with Meal/Credit DVD and IMDB credit and have a great film production experience.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
- Kelsey Lathem – (Kella) is 10 years old. She has lots of spunk and a street-wise personality. A “girlie-girl” by nature, Kelsey can also have a “tom-boyish” side to her. She is not afraid to play with the boys and can be tough in her own right.
- Kenneth Lathem – (Kenny) is a smart and athletic twelve year old boy. A straight “A” student Kenny has learned the importance of education and has good study habits and always tries hard academically. He is the opposite of his kid sister Kelsey who tends to be less motivated academically.
- Two adult male between ages 40-50 (both characters are in their late 40’s)
- One adult Female between the age 35-45 (character is 41 years old)
- One male child between ages 9-13 (character is 12 years old)
- One female child between the ages 9-12 (character is 10 years old)
Supporting Roles:
- Reesie’s work boss: funny, sarcastic, always chewing on something
- Tourist Group Leader: Asian, loud, annoying, and stereotyped
- Movie Theater Manager: Nothing significant about character—only in one scene
- Restaurant Manager: Nothing significant about character—only in two scenes
- Restaurant Waiter: Teenager or young adult; (trips and spills food in his primary scene)
- Reesie’s mother; Senior Citizen
- Reesie’s Co-worker, Yolanda; sassy, opinionated, “Madea” like character
