Mental Health Digital Campaign
SYNOPSIS of CAMPAIGN:
It’s Up to Us is a mental health campaign working hard to destigmatize and normalize mental health challenges, especially in this time of increased stress and need due to COVID-19. The goal of this campaign is to inspire wellness, reduce stigma, increase dialogue, and prevent suicide for all individuals with a particular emphasis on the hardest hit and most vulnerable populations.
Production will focus on capturing still images and digital assets like GIFS. Talent will portray different demographics who have been hit hardest by COVID-19 and mental health challenges (first responders, parents, essential workers, LGBTQ+, etc.
The content captured within these still photos/ social assets will touch on the following topics:
1. Safely supporting others (ex: sitting on a bench talking, with masks, helping)
2. Reaching out for support
3. Taking steps to care for your own well being, even though this can be difficult ( ex, outdoor environment)
4. At homeschooling stress
5. Destigmatizing support for first responders
6. Helping essential workers deal with added stresses
7. Having a difficult conversation about suicide with teens
Production will take place in San Diego, CA. Talent will be expected to work as San Diego locals (no travel stipend or reimbursements provided).
Casting will be done entirely via self- taped auditions due to COVID-19.
COVID-19 considerations will be taken on set including mandatory testing, social distancing, PPE, pre-packaged food, etc.

MOM 1 (PRINCIPAL PHOTO TALENT):
$500/Day including usage + 20% Agency Fee + $25 wardrobe
Female | Latinx | 25-35 Years Old
Mom 1 is a Latinx Female in her mid 20’s to mid 30’s. She is feeling overwhelmed and has mental exhaustion from the stress of homeschooling while working and the fear of keeping children/family healthy during COVID19.
Non-Speaking. Tattoos and piercings OK.
KIDS (2 PHOTO TALENT – FEATURED):
$400/Day inc. usage + 20% Agency + $25 Wardrobe Stipend
Female and Male | Latinx | 5-10 Years Old
Kid 1 and 2 are the children of Mom 1. They will be in the background of shots containing our featured Mom 1. In some photos, they may be happy and excited, and in others, they could be somewhat sad, but not crying.
Non-Speaking. Ear piercings ok.
MOM 2 (PRINCIPAL PHOTO TALENT):
$500/Day including usage + 20% Agency Fee + $25 wardrobe
Female | Black | 35-45 Years Old
Mom 2 is a Black female around 35-45 years old. She is having difficult conversations about suicide with her LGBTQ+ teen. She shows us how important having these hard conversations is, and how important they are to prevent loss of life.

LGBTQ+ TEEN (PHOTO TALENT – FEATURED):
$400/Day + 20% Agency Fee. $25 Wardrobe Stipend if used
Male Presenting | Black | Appearing 16-18 Years Old
Son of Mom 2. The LGBTQ+ teen is a young Black teenager appearing between 16-18 years old. Looking for REAL LGBTQ+ individuals ONLY.
Our teen is experiencing mental health challenges. Their mom has an important conversation with them about mental health and suicide. They are proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community and their mom is supportive.
Non-Speaking. Tattoos ok, piercings ok.
ESSENTIAL WORKER (PRINCIPAL PHOTO TALENT)
$500/Day inc. usage + 20% Agency + $25 wardrobe stipend
Female | API, Asian, Native, Middle Eastern, Mixed, Ambiguous | 25-35 Years Old
Our Essential worker is a female between the age of 25-35 years old. Talent does not need to be ACTUAL essential workers, though we strongly encourage those who are to submit.
This character is having to deal with additional stresses, address fears around contact tracing, and is facing housing insecurity and related mental burdens.
Non-Speaking. Tattoos ok, piercings ok.
FIRST RESPONDER / MEMBER OF THE MILITARY ( PRINCIPAL PHOTO TALENT):
$500/Day inc. usage + 20% Agency + $25 wardrobe stipend
Male | Caucasian | 35-45 Years Old
Our 1st Responder / Military member is a caucasian male between the age of 35-55. Talent does not need to be ACTUAL first responders or members of the military, but those who are, are strongly encouraged to submit. This person may be/be portrayed as a Firefighter, EMT, police officer, or member of the military.
Our First Responder if feeling overwhelmed and experiencing mental exhaustion. This character will destigmatize support for first responders and military

HECTOR (PRINCIPAL PHOTO TALENT):
$500/Day inc. usage + 20% Agency + $25 wardrobe stipend
Male | Latinx | 55-65 Years Old
Hector is a Latinx male around 60 years old. He has been facing financial struggles, escalating alcohol use, and loneliness.
Non-Speaking. Ideally no visible piercings
PRODUCTION DATES: 1 Day the week of October 5th.
