SYNOPSIS:
Casting San Diego teens and young adults for a paid PSA production taking place in late August!
CAMPAIGN + PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Masked is a teen alcohol us PSA campaign targeted towards teens. The goal of this campaign is to educate teens on the effects of alcohol use at a young age. Below are the main points that this campaign will touch on:
– Alcohol use as a teen can make you lose control and not feel good about yourself
– When you’re a teen, alcohol chemically blocks the part of your brain responsible for self control
– Using alcohol as a teen can also permanently damage your brain impacting memory, attention and ability to move and coordination, and it might be irreversible.
The “Masked” video follows a teen ( our principal) as she arrives at a bonfire to hang out with her friends. One of her friends, who we see wearing a mask, offers her a drink, which we see represented as a mask. She accepts the mask and puts it on. As the night unfolds we see how alcohol affects them both differently, and how their sober friends are impacted by their actions.
This project will be shot in San Diego county – specifically in Pine Valley, CA. Talent will be expected to work as San Diego locals ( no travel stipend or reimbursements provided).
We are looking to hire as many ACTUAL San Diego County locals as possible. Please note if you live in San Diego County in your profile submission.

RENEWAL TERMS: Client retains the right of renewal at the original session fee + 10% for an additional 5 years to include all exclusivities.
CONFLICTS: Talent must agree to not represent alcohol products or any other teen alcohol prevention campaigns for a period of five years after launch. (Negotiable)

CHARACTERS:
Main Teen (Non-Speaking Principal):
$500/Session (inc. usage) + $25 wardrobe stipend
Female | Caucasian | Appearing 16-18 Years Old
Our Main Teen is a Caucasian female who appears between the ages of 16-18 years old. We follow her as she arrives at a bonfire to hang out with friends. She is interested in experimenting with alcohol but doesn’t have much experience doing so. She appears a little naive at first but when her friend offers her a drink she is eager to try.
Talent needs to be able to express a wide range of emotions including being able to act like they are sad and then out of control sobbing and a little sloppy.
Talent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school). This is a non-speaking role.
Masked Friend (Non-Speaking Principal):
$350/Session (inc. usage) + $25 wardrobe stipend
Male | Caucasian | Appearing 16-18 Years Old
Our Masked Friend is a caucasian teen who is hanging outside around a fire pit with friends. They are interested in experimenting with alcohol and have a confident vibe. They bring the alcohol to this event and are the one handing out the drinks and encouraging their friends to drink. Talent should be able to act like they are out of control drunk. Not angry but hysterical laughing and overall sloppiness that makes the non-drinking friends uneasy.
Talent will be wearing a mask the entire video so this role is heavy on body language. This is a non-speaking role.
Talent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school).
Friend 1 or 2 (Non-Speaking Principal):
$350/Session (inc. usage) + $25 wardrobe stipend
Male or Female | Caucasian, Black or Latino | Appearing 16-18 Years Old
Friend 1 and 2 are average teens attending a party outside at night around a fire pit with friends. They are hanging out and having fun until their other friends get sloppy drunk and they are forced to take care of them. They should come off as annoyed at the situation and that they have to deal with their friends out-of-control behavior
Talent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school).
This is a non-speaking role.
