The goal of this campaign is to educate teens on the effects of alcohol use at a young age. Below are the main points that this campaign will touch on:  \n– Alcohol use as a teen can make you lose control and not feel good about yourself  \n– When you’re a teen\, alcohol chemically blocks the part of your brain responsible for self control  \n– Using alcohol as a teen can also permanently damage your brain impacting memory\, attention and ability to move and coordination\, and it might be irreversible. \nThe “Masked” video follows a teen ( our principal) as she arrives at a bonfire to hang out with her friends. One of her friends\, who we see wearing a mask\, offers her a drink\, which we see represented as a mask. She accepts the mask and puts it on. As the night unfolds we see how alcohol affects them both differently\, and how their sober friends are impacted by their actions.  \nThis project will be shot in San Diego county – specifically in Pine Valley\, CA. Talent will be expected to work as San Diego locals ( no travel stipend or reimbursements provided).  \nWe are looking to hire as many ACTUAL San Diego County locals as possible. She appears a little naive at first but when her friend offers her a drink she is eager to try.  \nTalent needs to be able to express a wide range of emotions including being able to act like they are sad and then out of control sobbing and a little sloppy.  \nTalent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school). This is a non-speaking role.  \nMasked Friend (Non-Speaking Principal): \n$350/Session (inc. usage) + $25 wardrobe stipend  \nMale | Caucasian | Appearing 16-18 Years Old  \nOur Masked Friend is a caucasian teen who is hanging outside around a fire pit with friends. They are interested in experimenting with alcohol and have a confident vibe. They bring the alcohol to this event and are the one handing out the drinks and encouraging their friends to drink. Talent should be able to act like they are out of control drunk. Not angry but hysterical laughing and overall sloppiness that makes the non-drinking friends uneasy.  \nTalent will be wearing a mask the entire video so this role is heavy on body language. This is a non-speaking role.  \nTalent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school).  \nFriend 1 or 2 (Non-Speaking Principal): \n$350/Session (inc. usage) + $25 wardrobe stipend \nMale or Female | Caucasian\, Black or Latino | Appearing 16-18 Years Old  \nFriend 1 and 2 are average teens attending a party outside at night around a fire pit with friends. They are hanging out and having fun until their other friends get sloppy drunk and they are forced to take care of them. They should come off as annoyed at the situation and that they have to deal with their friends out-of-control behavior  \nTalent needs to be over 18 years old or able to work as an adult (legal 18 status or graduated high school).  \nThis is a non-speaking role.

She meets Princeton at the restaurant and is later murdered while jogging. \nPriscilla is the daughter to Dmitri and she notices her dad at the restaurant talking to Alexi. \nJogger One and Jogger Two call the police after discovering Alexi dead in the park. \nJOGGER THREE: Young\, attractive college-age girl who passes by slowly and stops to take notice of crime scene. Princeton takes notice of her. \nTELEVISION ANCHOR: Reads news on a television screen of another dead body found. She delivers news of the New Alexi Justice Law.

There is a main supporting character that is either her inner voice\, an angel\, who is always trying to calm her down and transform. DESCRIPTION:PROJECT: \n SDSU Graduate Short Film \n When Chato\, a fatherless 11-year-old boy\, confronts his older neighbor about putting an end to his sexual abuse\, he’s later faced with having to tell the truth or lie to his own mother. At the end\, who is he willing to protect?  \nOFFER: \nActors will receive a digital copy\, credit and meals. Compensation of $50-$125 a day\, depending on the role. And of course the Actors will also benefit from a great production experience and material for building their demo reel!  \nAUDITION: \nCold read\, Improv. Bring headshot and resume to the Audition. \nSHOOT DATE: \n Mid-March. 2 Day shoot. \nCHARACTER BREAKDOWN:\n  \nOpen to any ethnicity\, but prefer a Latino(a)/mix for Chato\, his Mother and Arturo \n\n Chato (male\, age 9-12) 2 Day Shoot – $125 \n\nBACKSTORY: Chato lost his father at the age of seven. When he moved into a new neighborhood\, he met Arturo. He finally found a cool male figure in his life that he learned almost everything a boy would from his father. IN THE SCRIPT: Chato is a 6th grader who tries to be cool with his two friends\, Moses and Sammie\, by showing them an adult magazine. Next door with his neighbor\, Arturo\, Chato decides to put an end to his sexual abuse or the “experimenting” as he was manipulated into thinking. Back home with his mother\, he must decide who to protect from the truth when asked about his behavior at school. \n\n\nArturo (male\, age 17-21) 1 Day Shoot – $100\n\nBACKSTORY: Arturo is fresh out of high school and fully aware of his sexuality towards males. He grew up with Chato as his big brother over the years. In the process\, he built a trust with Chato and carefully lured him into engaging into sexual activity for the benefit of his own. IN THE SCRIPT\, his objective is to try and convince Chato to engage in foreplay one last time. Once he’s rejected\, he uses his words to scare Chato from saying anything about their past. \n\n\nMother (woman\, age 35-50) 1 Day Shoot $100\n\nBACKSTORY: Leticia lost her husband a few years back and decided to move to a new neighborhood to begin a new life from distress and pain. Her main goal was to be strong\, provide and protect Chato. IN THE SCRIPT: She leaves work early to attend an urgent meeting with the principle and her son’s teacher. He ultimately always follows Sammie’s decisions. \nStevie (male\, age 12-16) 1/2 Day shoot – $50 A neighborhood friend of Chatos. Stevie loves to skateboard and always tries to get Chato to skate.
